Position Title Quality Engineer
Job Description:
The Quality Engineer assists internal and external customers in meeting quality engineering requirements.
This involves inspecting parts, investigating corrective action reports, and communicating with internal and external customers.
Develop, implement and coordinates product assurance program to prevent or eliminate defects in new or existing products by performing the following duties:
Reduce internal scrap - Be a part of production team.
Continuously monitor reject information and take permanent action to correct the issues/problems.
Work with internal and external suppliers on the supplier-related quality issues.
Investigate all customer complaints and drive to take permanent corrective quality measures.
Participate as a member of the Project Integration Team to ensure smooth production runs.
Responsible for working with process owners to bound product stops and document release criteria.
Perform plating and polishing process audits to ensure product quality.
Work with Polishing and plating process team on improving the process with the process audit findings.
Responsible for product/process improvement efforts by understanding current quality metric data and learning the various analysis methods used to enhance sustaining projects and new projects.
Develop and train plant teams to efficiently and effectively use quality systems and qualityengineering tools.
Successfully build teams to accept the accountability of the jobs and theirquality implications.
Coordinate the lab testing with Process teams and the Quality Technicians.
Develop and deliver quality training materials to raise the skill-set of plant personnel at all levels.
Lead Kaizen Events.
Operate testing equipment including, but not limited to, X-ray machine, Permascope, Nickelscope, Profilometer, and hand gauges.
Communication Skills:
Must be able to read, write and comprehend the English language.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, quality system standards, and governmental regulations Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers clients, customers, and the general public.
Required
Experience:
Bachelor's engineering degree from a four-year college or university or comparative work in a technical field.
Professional certification from quality societies.
Highly motivated and driven to succeed Able to troubleshoot and problem solve Flexible work hours Able to lead a team of people Bottom line requirements 1.
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.

years of Quality Engineering experience in manufacturing.

Six Sigma Green or Black Belt.
4.
Knowledge of plating, polishing, and assembly operations.
