Surgical Technologist oResponsible for cleaning and sterilization of instruments and equipment.
oResponsible for making sure supplies are ordered and adequate supply par levels are maintained.
oAccepts assignments and direction from Lead Surgical Technician.
oUses proper techniques for scrubbing to assist with a surgical case.
oAssists with sponge, instrument, and needle count before, during, and after procedure.
oFollowing surgical procedure cleans tables and instruments; cognizant of proper care in handling specimens.
oResponsible for timely turn over between cases.
oResponsible for maintaining par levels of supplies, weekly ordering and putting away supplies when received.
oMay assist in transporting patient form nursing area to surgical suite; may assist with patient transport from recovery Room to nursing care unit.
Shift or schedule requirements:
M-F 7-3:

Rotating call with other two techs.
Every 3rd weekend call is required.
