RHIT Medical Coder

Medical Coder (RHIT) Place of Performance:
Shenandoah, IA A-Team Solutions is seeking a Medical Coder for a 13 week assignment or for a Direct Hire position.
Job Duties:
Training, evaluation and supervision of coding, transcription, and clerical functions and personnel in the department.
Review of records for completion and referral to medical staff for review for clinical pertinence.
Interprets federal, state, and local laws pertaining to the accuracy, timeliness and completeness of medical record documentation in addition to legal aspects and retention of health records.
Requirements:
Required skills and minimum years of experience.
Technical knowledge of coding, transcription, medical terminology, and diagnostic/disease processes.
Able to meet time and resource deadlines and constraints.
Education:
Associate degree or equivalent work experience.
Credentialed by American Health Information Management Association, with maintenance of commensurate CE requirements.
Preferred:
Registered Health Information Administrators (RHIA) or Registered Information Technicians (RHIT).
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years experience in an Medical Records management role.
Shift or schedule requirements.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
