Director of Medical Records (HIM) - 10637zzz313 Training, evaluation and supervision of coding, transcription, and clerical functions and personnel in the department.
Review of records for completion and referral to medical staff for review for clinical pertinence.
Interprets federal, state, and local laws pertaining to the accuracy, timeliness and completeness of medical record documentation in addition to legal aspects and retention of health records.

Requirements Associate degree or equivalent work experience.
Credentialed by American Health Information Management Association, with maintenance of commensurate CE requirements; Registered Health Information Administrators (RHIA) or Registered Information Technicians (RHIT) preferred.
Minimum of 5 years' experience in an Medical Records management role.
Technical knowledge of coding, transcription, medical terminology, and diagnostic/disease processes.
Able to meet time and resource deadlines and constraints.
