Job Details:
Responsible for assigning diagnostic, procedural, and complication codes to all inpatient, ambulatory surgery, emergency room and outpatient patient records.
Ensures that all coded records meet the State and Federal coding requirements.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Class work in ICD-9-CM, CPT Coding and related courses from an accredited college or acceptable program required.
PMI's CMC certification, or AAPC's CPC or CPC-P certification or AHIMA's CCA, CCS or CCS-P certification credential required.
Prior coding expererience in hospital or clinic setting preferred.
