Summary:
EssentialDuties:
Adapt communication style to each patients ability to understand.
Recognize and respond to verbal and non-verbal communication.
Keep the exam rooms clean, disinfected and stocked with drapes and supplies needed for examinations.
Maintain efficient, organized, and clean work areas.
Monitor inventory of supplies and report to Practice Manager.
Understands and follows orders and communicates results per physician direction.
Communicate with patients, families and other professionals in a courteous manner.
Carry out interventions as directed by the physician.
Observe all rules regarding managed care and other health insurance agreements for the benefit of the patients insurance coverage, including obtaining referral forms when necessary.
Perform clinic procedures within the scope of licensure.
Report problems or potential problems to the Practice Manager.
Schedule patient appointments on computer.
Demonstrate competency in tasks and skills required for this position.
Perform any other duties that may be assigned by physicians or Practice Manager.
Maintain professional demeanor at all times.
Attend and participate in staff meetings.
Read and comply with all policies and procedures and personnel policies as stated.
Understand and demonstrate compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Qualifications:
Education:
Graduate of medical assisting or practical nursing program required.
Experience:
Previous medical office experience preferred.
Licensure/Certification:
Current certification/registration as a Medical Assistant or State of Nebraska LPN.
Current certification in Basic Life Support Additional
